What Happens if a Caregiver Does Not Show Up for Their Shift?

From time to time a caregiver does not show up because they are sick, have a flat tire on the way to work, or have a family emergency that requires them to take the day off.

Ask us, the home care agency, what our plan of action is when a caregiver does not show up for their designated shift. Every home care agency should have some sort of plan in place for these situations.

For example – at Home To Stay we use a technology called geofencing that uses GPS to lets us know when our caregivers arrive at their assignment.  If someone does not show up, Home To Stay is aware of it before anyone because of the missed check-in.
