Serving Monmouth and Ocean Counties
Well – that certainly went fast! It truly feels like it was yesterday that we opened the doors to our new Red Bank, NJ office to better serve the seniors of Monmouth and Ocean counties and their families.Â
We have had some wonderful outcomes and success stories over the last 12 months that make overcoming the challenges worth it! One of the challenges we faced was the time it took to establish our core group of caregivers.
We took for granted having a solid nucleus and a deep bench of caregivers in our Cherry Hill office waiting for the ideal family match. In Monmouth and Ocean counties, we started with zero caregivers. We underestimated the work and effort needed to build our caregiver base, which is still a work in progress!
Our Compassionate Live-in Caregivers
We have been successfully recruiting, hiring and training exceptional caring and compassionate live-in caregivers. Our live-in caregivers have represented the majority of our growth in the new territory. It is special to see a caregiver matched to a senior that they truly love. Making a connection that helps seniors continue living at home AND is also meaningful and enriching to our caregivers is our top priority.
With the addition of Ocean and Monmouth counties, Home To Stay now serves a contiguous territory that stretches from Cumberland to Monmouth County and those in between, including: Salem, Gloucester, Camden, Burlington and Ocean counties. Most recently we have started to enter Middlesex County (via our Red Bank office) and, later in 2023, we plan to expand into Mercer County. Â
AlzBetter Support in Monmouth & Ocean Counties
In addition to traditional home care services, Home To Stay has also been providing AlzBetter Cognitive Assessment Services in this new territory. These services are primarily done remotely using video and telephone support. Since this program is also focused on the primary caregiver of the person living with dementia – being able to provide these services remotely actually works out much better because it gives that primary caregiver their own space to talk openly and freely.
All-in-all it has been a wonderful first year in our Red Bank office and we are excited to begin our second year!
