Home To Stay is excited to announce that our proprietary training program (AlzBetter) that we utilize to train all of our aides and family members has had its curriculum reviewed and approved by the Alzheimer’s Association.
The AlzBetter system is one of four training programs that the Alzheimer’s Association reviewed and approved nationally for training of others outside of their own organization.
Home To Stay is grateful to the Alzheimer’s Association for their input and guidance into the AlzBetter program and for this very special recognition.
Alzheimer’s and related dementias affect millions of Americans. Every 65 seconds someone new in the United States is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or other dementia related disease. There are BILLIONS of unpaid care hours being delivered annually to this population and these patients and their families need help.  There has never been a greater need for training and education than there is now – especially since a lot of seniors with dementia and their family members are spending more time at home because of the virus.
Having the correct training for your professional and family caregivers helps to decrease challenging behaviors while increasing the quality of life for your loved one during this challenging time. Even though it is one of the worst diagnoses a senior and their families can receive, solid training and education can make it much more bearable and even fun at times!
The AlzBetter Dementia Foundation Training is recognized by the Alzheimer’s Association® for successfully incorporating the evidence-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations in the following topic areas: Alzheimer’s and dementia, person-centered care, assessment and care planning, activities of daily living, and behaviors and communication.
