A warm hello to all and thanks to those who I’ve had the opportunity to meet thus far for welcoming me to Home to Stay. I am sincerely looking forward to working with you and helping us provide the best care to our clients who we have the privilege to serve.
My background is in rehabilitative nursing, working 18 years at Magee Rehabilitation Hospital in Philadelphia and before that Jefferson Hospital’s acute rehab unit. The Rehab nursing model focuses on preparing a person to return to home with the appropriate adaptive strategies and tools to be as independent as possible. I love this model as it promotes a person’s independence and empowers him/her to continue living their life as they desire. Home Care is the continuation of this model. What a privilege to make a positive difference in a life of an individual. When the day gets long and we run out of patience it helps to remember this.
