On June 2, 2015 Home to Stay was pleased to be an Exhibitor at the 2015 Annual South Jersey Dementia Conference, and to have the opportunity to showcase our AlzBetter program to the over 260 professional and family caregivers who attended. The Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley chapter holds the event annually. It is sponsored by many organizations which lend support to those affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
This year’s keynote speaker was Barbara Reuer, PhD, a music therapist who presented a program on the impact music therapy has on dementia patients and those who care for them. The presentation was particularly relevant in light of Home to Stay’s “Music to Remember” program. “Music to Remember” is a non- profit established by Home to Stay’s owners, which provides those suffering from Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia with complimentary iPods programmed with music that is meaningful to the individual.
Until there is a cure, Home to Stay/AlzBetter seeks to provide innovative solutions to those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
