Home To Stay has been a complete gift of a find. It has been a pleasure working with the team as I navigate next steps of care for my father. We recently attended their Halloween event and pet parade and it was a wonderful event. I can't tell you how thrilled we are that we found Home-to-Stay. It was one recommended by our social worker and the staff has additional and ongoing training for dealing with people who have Alzheimer's. We had a negative experience with the first agency we had tried.When the nurse came in to do the assessment she listened and asked pertinent questions. The goal was to find a two-way match between the home health care aide and my husband and family. She felt we needed someone more mature who could handle his physical needs as well as social and emotional. Boy did they hit it out of the park! Shermaine is a breath of fresh air. She is upbeat, competent, knowledgeable, cheery, compassionate and full of energy. She has PT herself so she and my husband to their exercises together. It is a different dynamic having someone else here but it is a comfortable dynamic and I am so glad to have her!!! She fits right in with our family and she likes being here with us too. She makes my job of caring for someone with alzheimer's so much easier because she is sharing the load.Can't say enough good things about this company. They have daily logs, a care plan, and the supervising nurse makes pop in visits to make sure things are going well. They also encourage families to call with any needs or concerns so they can be addressed properly. We are THANKFUL!
Home To Stay responded immediately for our need to have home health aides to help my 90 year-old father transition from a rehab facility to an assisted living facility after he fell and broke his hip. The aides were wonderful, professional and caring and provided around the clock care for 2 weeks. The "home office" support staff followed up to make sure every thing was going well. They responded to my request for feedback on how my dad was doing. This was key for me! It gave me great piece of mind. I felt confident he was in excellent hands and was well taken care of. Matthew was truly a godsend to my family and especially my dad. Matthew took excellent care of my dad and allowed my dad to maintain his dignity the entire time. Matthew was an excellent caregiver and companion! He was perfect for my dad in that he was right there doing everything that needed to be done and at the same time, he gave my dad space so he wasn’t overwhelmed by having someone living in his home. Matthew pushed my dad just enough to help him gain strength but not too much to aggravate him. From day 1, Matthew seemed to know when to push and when to hold back. By doing that, he gained my dad’s trust which was the greatest challenge of all. Great service, excellent aides trained well. Also offering aides that have been trained in Dementia care through a special training program only offered by this service in this area. Customer care at its best. Caring and truly compassionate for the families and clients.
My wife has had Home to Stay aides for over a year and we have been well served. We had had another agency while she was still at home. Home to Stay was offered as a possibility when she had been in an assisted living (dementia) environment for a short time. I was impressed with their credentials and with the fact that when contacted they an aide on duty at 11PM the same day (she has 24/7 coverage). Their pricing is pretty much in keeping with the local industry. It did take awhile to get set up with standard aides. Their have only been a couple of glitches and all have been addressed. The aides are by and large very special people. Staff is always available via phone or e-mail (they have 24/7 coverage) and very easy to deal with.
My older sister has been using companions from Home to Stay for the past five months as she needed support for driving, going to doctors’ appointments, and taking care of somedaily living needs. The aides helped her become more independent and were reliable in supporting her through many appointments and errands she couldn’t do on her own. We experienced unparalleled help from Lynn and Murphy who assigned employees to her case to meet my sister’s changing needs.
We have had aides from Home to Stay for several years now. For the past four years we have worked with the same two on a 7 day schedule, and they are just wonderful. They are caring and supportive and helpful to both my father and our extended family. The office has also been very easy to deal with as we make requests on schedule changes.
Using Home to Stay Health Care Solutions was the best decision my family and I made regarding my mother's care. They provided us with a live-in who was caring and compassionate and was able to make my mother comfortable throughout her illness. The office staff was very responsive when I needed information and working with them totally eased my mind. Because of Home to Stay, my mother was able to remain in her home during her last days and receive the care and attention she needed. I don't know what I would have done without them.
